Home Energy Scotland (HES) Grant & Loan
Up to £9,000 grant + £7,500 interest-free loan
Home Energy Scotland is the Scottish Government's flagship scheme for owner-occupiers and private landlords. It provides grants and interest-free loans for a wide range of energy efficiency and renewable heating measures.

Who qualifies
Owner-occupiers and private landlords in Scotland. No income threshold for most measures.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)
£7,500 grant towards a heat pump
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme provides a one-off grant to replace fossil fuel boilers with low-carbon heating systems. It's available across Great Britain and can be combined with the HES loan for maximum support.

Who qualifies
Owner-occupiers in England, Scotland, and Wales replacing a gas, oil, or LPG boiler. Property must have a valid EPC with no outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations.
Warm Homes Plan (Scotland)
Free upgrades for lower-income households
The Warm Homes Plan (formerly Warmer Homes Scotland) provides fully-funded energy efficiency and heating upgrades to eligible lower-income households. There is no cost to qualifying homeowners.

Who qualifies
Homeowners in Scotland receiving certain means-tested benefits, or with a household income below the threshold. Properties must have an EPC rating of D, E, F, or G.
ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation)
Free insulation & heating for eligible homes
ECO4 is a UK-wide scheme that obliges large energy suppliers to fund energy efficiency improvements in low-income and fuel-poor households. Greenskye Energy are approved ECO4 installers.

Who qualifies
Homeowners and private tenants receiving qualifying benefits, or referred via the Great British Insulation Scheme. Landlord consent required for tenants.
