An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) works by extracting heat from the outside air and transferring it into your home via a refrigerant cycle — similar to how a fridge works, but in reverse. Even in temperatures as low as -20°C, a modern heat pump can deliver 3–4 units of heat for every unit of electricity it consumes, making it far more efficient than any gas or oil boiler.
